The tour travels threw the coastal rain forests and mountain to Astoria Oregon. Fort Clatsop is were Lewis and Clark spent the winter and part of the spring of 1805 -1806. Fort Astoria was founded by John Jacob Astor in 1810,. The Aster Column was built in 1811  , Near Astoria is where Lewis and Clark spent the winter and part of the spring of 1805 -1806 next to the Columbia River,  Astoria was named after the American investor (and first millionaire) John Jacob Astor.
